When our founder, Greg Hall, bumped into one of the partners of the Chartered Accountants (where Greg himself had studied as an accountant a couple of years earlier), he was asked to train all of their staff in Sage. Greg had also trained as a Sage trainer while working at the Chartered Accountants as their Computer Manager. During this time, he also implemented Sage Line 50 Accounts, Job Costing and Payroll several times as a financial controller. This means he not only has experience in using the software, but has also externally dealt with both the financial and commercial aspects of it.
From that chance meeting and subsequent training, ACIT was born, filling the gap in the market for Sage implementation services. Previously, this was something accountants believed they could offer, relying solely on their experience as a user. However, many had no knowledge of the commercial side of the software, meaning they were not able to give a bespoke and therefore effective, solution.

ACIT was awarded Sage’s prestigious Circle of Excellence award, four of the seven years that it ran for. An unbelievable achievement rewarded with trips for them and their other halves to Paris, Barcelona, Athens, and Abu Dhabi with the senior management of Sage. Out of hundreds of Sage’s Business Partners, only 15 were rewarded every year, based on their customer satisfaction scores. Since winning these awards the ACIT Team has continued to grow and today Greg ensures all of his staff continue to work within the same customer satisfaction culture that has served his customers well for over twenty years.
