Last time (honestly) – HMRC Gateway changes

I know we have been blogging a lot about this, but it is something that all Sage 50 Accounts and Sage 50 Payroll users need to be aware of, especially if they submit any of their data to HMRC via the Sage Gateway.
We have been made aware by Sage that they have had reports of some customers being told by the HMRC that their systems will not change after 14th February 2018.  Sage are working with the HMRC to resolve this, but we do need to make people aware conversations of this nature may arise.
To summarise, the information below shows how the HMRC Government Gateway changes will affect Sage users:
Sage 50 Accounts
Users on Sage 50cloud (50c) v24 or above or Sage 50 Accounts v24 or above are compliant with the Gateway changes.  They can continue to make online submissions as normal after 14th February.
If users are on v23 or below, to continue making online submissions directly from their software, they will need to upgrade to the latest version.  However, they will be able to manually submit their VAT Returns, EC Sales Lists, CIS Returns and CIS Subcontract validations manually through the HMRC website.
Sage 50 Payroll
Users on the latest version of Sage Payroll are set up and ready to use the new HMRC service.  They will need to install an update to ensure they can continue this if they are on v23.00 and not yet installed the mandatory update released.  This is available on www.sage.co.uk/au
Those not on the latest versions will no longer be able to submit their RTI submissions or access their IR secure mailbox through the software.
