As you may be aware, CIM’s current auto-update system occasionally experiences issues where update files are not downloaded correctly.
For the upcoming v2021.3 release, CIM have moved their Auto-Update system to a dedicated Azure server, meaning increased reliability and a reduced need for calls to Support.
If you’ve had to enter explicit rules into your firewall or router settings for the Cim50 Auto-Update FTP site, you may be affected by this new change. When you upgrade to v2013.3, you’ll need to create a new rule for the new FTP address:
ftp://cim50update.cim-services.co.uk
If you haven’t had to enter any explicit rules to access the site already, you shouldn’t need to make any changes to your own site going forwards.
