Cim50 V2021.2 Updates Roundup

As you may already know, in order to stay in line with Sage’s update/release structure, CIM brought forward their own release schedule in October last year. Rather than having to update the two separately, it makes it easier for users to update both programmes at the same time. This means there is only ever one version of Cim50 compatible with the most current version of Sage 50Cloud Accounts.

Whilst there were no new features added to Cim50 Manufacturing in October (v2021.1), the recent service update (v2021.2) added a host of new updates, as well as bug fixes. The first of which (and most immediately noticeable) is the new programme icons on the desktop.

One of the most exciting updates is probably the one made to Stock Control. This latest update saw a massive improvement to the loading and processing times within Cim50 Manufacturing.

Payment Due Dates can also now be added to Invoices in Cim50 Manufacturing, just as they can in the latest update to Sage 50 Accounts.

In today’s eco-conscious climate, it’s important to be aware of your company’s carbon footprint. Cim have now made this easy to track, with the new ability to calculate the carbon emissions associated with manufacturing your products. Not only can you track your company’s emissions, but report on it over a particular period too. Carbon emissions are tracked in KgCO2e (Kilograms of Carbon Dioxide equivalent).

Components now come with their own analysis fields, making it easier to input and report on the components in your BOMs. These new fields also improve the efficiency of input/retrieval of important data relating to components in Work Orders.

When interrogating MRP Recommendations, you can now see running ‘Smart Totals’ for the Demand or Recommended Purchase Quantity and Cost.

Quotation Revision Control makes it easier to see past versions of a quote, in case you need to refer back to it or even revert to a previous version completely.

The ability to update a BOM directly from the Work Order means inefficiencies can be eliminated easily with a simplified process change in Cim50 Manufacturing.

If you haven’t upgraded your Sage 50Cloud Accounts to v27.1, or Cim50 to v2021.2, we recommend doing so as soon as you can. If you have any queries/concerns about doing so, please get in touch with us. We’d love to hear from you!
